Robert E. Albus

Robert E. Albus

Principal, Managing Partner

Bob brings a 35 year history of accomplishment in business management and entrepreneurial start ups, followed by his M&A experience in securing over $200 M in funding for middle market companies. Having also worked with Private Equity firms as a senior advisor and Board member he has an informed perspective of how to align client companies with the specific requirements of financial sponsors.

Bob began his career with Johnson & Johnson where he conceived of and was the lead candidate in the MBA Marketing training program. He moved to CBS as Vice President of Business Development of WB Saunders for the Publishing Group, and subsequently became Marketing Director of Combe Inc. He founded and was President of Premier Inc, a consumer products company he later sold to Advanced Polymer Systems where he became President of the Toiletry Division. Over the course of his business career Bob is credited with identifying and developing businesses with in excess of $1.0B in enterprise value.

Bob earned a BA degree from Lafayette College. He subsequently received an MBA from Lehigh University.

Jeffrey R. Albus

Managing Director, General Manager Energy Operations

Jeffrey Albus has been involved in the renewable energy and waste management space for eight years. He has functioned in both a development and operations roles. Jeffrey has led efforts in qualifying demand response technologies and their role in the Provident Partners proprietary Micro Grid solution. Similarly he has been instrumental in developing the firm’s focus in the waste to energy sector. Prior to his time with Provident Partners, Jeffrey was a Project Manager with a financial advisory firm where he identified emerging technologies as investment opportunities.

Jeffrey received his bachelors from Roger Williams University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Energy Management from the New York Institute of Technology.

Dominic DeMain

Managing Director Consumer Products

Senior Business Development and Marketing Executive specializing in M&A and product licensing. Dom has spent his entire career building businesses in the consumer products industry by identifying consumer needs and developing products and brands to fill them. His experience in niche marketing & profitable business building with limited budgets adds to the firms capabilities in creative resource planning.

Dom began his career with Warner-Chilean Laboratories in pharmaceutical sales, then moved to Combe Incorporated where he held several senior management positions in Sales, Marketing and Business Development. He most recently held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at CCA Industries. Dom earned a BA Degree from Marquene University. One of Dom’s most passionate hobbies is volunteering for NFTE (Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship to high school students).

Jonathan C. Stearns

Jonathan C. Stearns

Managing Director

Mr.Stearns has over 25 years experience in private capital investing and management across num erous industries, capital structures and stages of development in companies located in the U.S., Western Europe and Asia.In addition to his work with Provident Partners, he is the Managing Partner of Stearns Associated Partners, a firm focused on assisting emerging growth companies accelerate their business plans and refine their strategic goals.

Prior to Stearns Associated Partners, he was a Managirg Director with AIG Investments and its successor PineBridge Investments where he actively managed numerous private equity and private debt investments in the US and abroad.Jonathan and his team managed directly in excess of a Sl.5 B which was invested along side more than 50 private capital firms. Prior to joining PineBridge, be worked at Abbolt Capital from 2001-2006 and managed its private equity co-investment program. From 1994 to 2000, be was a Managing Director of Equinox Investment Partners, a $300+ million private capital investment company. Jonathan staned his career with J.P. Morgan and subsequently MS employed by Kleinwort Bensen and various of its subsidiaries where he managed private capital investments in the U.S. and Western Europe.

Mr. Stearns received his BA in History and Political Science from The University of the South and studied economics and politics at the graduate school of Cornell University.

Art Morelli

Art Morelli

Managing Director Health Care

Mr. Morelli is a pharmaceutical industry professional with 30+ years of leadership experience at companies such as DuPont Merck Pharma, Elan Biopharmaceuticals, Cardinal Health, Solstice Neurosciences, Inc. and Covidien /Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. At Du Pont Merck Mr. Morelli led the growth and expansion of the companies Emerging Markets pharmaceutical business in over 50 countries throughout Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East regions.

Mr. Morelli was the co-founder of Solstice Neurosciences, Inc., a venture backed start-up which acquired the worldwide rights for Myobloc (botulinum toxin type B) from Elan. In this role, Mr. Morelli created and led the commercial infrastructure for the 150 person biopharmaceutical company.

Art was the Vice President of Medical Affairs Operations at Covidien/Mallinckrodt in St. Louis. In this position, Mr. Morelli successfully led the creation, planning, and launch of numerous key initiatives such as publications, investigator initiated clinical studies, REMS, and an innovative voluntary opioid safe use program, the CARES Alliance.

Thomas Haber

Mr. Haber is the retired Sr. Vice President and CFO, and member of the Board of Glaxo Inc. (now GSK). Tom was also a member of the GSK International Finance Committee. He is currently CEO of Hadley investments a proprietary investment counseling service and a member of the Board of the GlaxoSmithKline Charitable Foundation, Board of Visitors of Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina, and the North Carolina Children’s Hospital Board of Visitors where he also was a Past President.

Prior to joining Glaxo Tom was Controller of the Johnson & Johnson Health Care Division. He is a graduate of Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Samuel B. Fortenbaugh, III

Mr. Fortenbaugh is the retired Chairman of Morgan Lewis & Bockius, an international law firm with offices throughout the world. He also served as Chair of its Business & Finance Practice Group. He continues to practice law, primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities law and corporate governance. He also serves as corporate counsel to Lifetime Brands, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Advisors of Capital Partners Private Equity Income Fund, a private buy-out fund focused on middle market companies.

He is a former member of the Board of Directors of Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (NYSE Amex), Western Publishing Group, Inc. (NASDAQ) and Security Capital Corporation (Amex). Mr. Fortenbaugh also has served as a director of a number of privately held companies including several of which he was the Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Fortenbaugh is a graduate of Williams College and Harvard Law School and is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He served in the Air Research and Development Command of the United States Air Force as a management analyst and manpower specialist. He and his wife live in Greenwich, Connecticut.
